Simply Delish ~ Fish With Sour Cream and Musrooms
We've had a busy week. Coco has been to the vet to have some lumps removed, teeth cleaned and hair clipped. Thankfully, the lumps were nothing to worry about and now she looks like a new woman (dog), hehe.
Rugby World Cup 2011 kicks off tonight in our home town, can't wait. Go the All Blacks!
Have a great weekend all
300g fish fillets
salt and pepper
knob of butter
4 tbs water
60g sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon paprika
chopped parsley to garnish
Place the fish in a shallow ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper, dot with butter and add water.
Cover with foil and cook in a moderate oven, 160C/325F for 15 mins.
Meanwhile, make the sauce. Melt butter in saucepan, add mushrooms and fry for 1 minute.
Stir in sour cream, paprika and salt and pepper to taste.
Drain fish, pour over sauce and garnish with parsley.
I was preparing this and watching telly at the same time so I was a little haphazard with the ingredients. The dish came out tasting mainly of sour cream, which was nice but I imagine if I'd followed the recipe exactly, it would have tasted even better. The best part of the meal was the chips, which I had nothing to do with, Whtiesnake cooked those. Oh well, better luck next time :)
Here's the linky, you know what to do.
