Simply Delish ~ Sage Pork Chops with Rice Pilaf
Ingredients
2 pork chops
1 small onion, chopped
1 small carrot, chopped
basmati rice for 2
peas
chicken stock
salt and pepper
thyme
olive oil
mustard
chopped sage
To Prepare
Heat oven to 190C/375F
Caramelise onion and carrots for 4 mins
Add basmati rice, peas, chicken stock, slat, pepper and thyme and bring to boil
Cover, lower heat and simmer for 15 mins
Drizzle pork chops with oil
Season salt, pepper and spread and sear both sides
Remove from pan and spread with mustard
Sprinkle with chopped sage
Bake 15 -20 mins or until cooked through (turn once and don't forget to rest the meat)
Simple and delish!
