Simply Delish ~ Cornish Pasties
Ingredients
2 sheets of bought puff pastry
200g of mince
I onion, peeled and finely chopped
1 small carrot, peeled and finely chopped
1 medium potato, peeled and finely chopped
salt and pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
beaten egg or milk to glaze
To Prepare
Heat oven to 220
Combine meat, onion, carrot, potato, seasoning and Worcestershire sauce.
Divide filling into two large portions and place in the centre of each pastry sheet.
Damp the edges of the pastry and bring together at the top. Press firmly together and crimp with fingers and thumb. Stand on lightly greased baking sheet.
Brush with beaten egg or milk and bake in hot oven for about 30 mins or until golden brown.
KB's Tips
You can substitute puff for shortcrust, flaky or rough puff pastry.
Divide pastry sheets for smaller portions.
Can be served hot or cold.

Hi, KB. Your Cornish pasties look interesting and other than the carrots, very similar to the ones I've had that are sold at church benefits. Do you serve them with vinegar or do you eat them as is?
