To be completely honest we haven't had pizza since we have been together.
I remember that we often talk about getting one as a take away but that never happens, we always worry about the content and the calories it contains.
I got up this morning and while getting the milk for my tea I noticed some tomato paste sitting on the shelf.
As is my way, I am always thinking of what we will have for dinner when I am having breakfast.
Pizza came to mind.
I asked KB if she fancied me errrrrrrrr ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;I meant home made pizza for dinner.
My babes eyes lit up and she said yes.
My babes eyes lit up and she said yes.
The only thing we had to buy was the base.
I would have made it but I am not that confident doing that kind of thing ......the pastry base I mean!
So..... here goes.............Use common sense on the amounts of ingredients.
Ingredients
Bought pizza base
Bacon pieces
Tomato pasteChicken breast
Mushrooms
Onion/Shallots
Dried Basil and Thyme
Grated Cheese
Method
Fry up bacon pieces and set aside.
Slice up mushrooms and onions/shallots and set aside.
Place water in a baking dish, about 1 cup.
Place rack on baking dish and then place chicken breast on the rack.
Season chicken with salt and ground black pepper.
Place chicken into a preheated oven 200c for about 15mins then turn chicken over.
When chicken is done set aside to cool.
Oven should be preheated to 200c
Get pizza base and spread tomato paste on to it.
Leave about 1/2inch gap from edge when spreading the paste.
Paste should be applied to taste.
Sprinkle chicken pieces, bacon pieces, onions/shallots and mushrooms over the tomato paste pizza base.
Sprinkle liberally the grated cheese then the basil and thyme on top of cheese.
Place in oven till cheese has melted (Golden Brown).
Cut into slices and serve
