The Garrison Public House

For final drinks with friends it was off to the Garrison Public House the local pub at work.
The place has a lovely feel about it. It actually is quite spacious inside and out. Clean and tidy.

An honest opinion would be that this is a great place to eat and drink. A criticism however would be the service.
We arrived at about 5pm on a Tuesday evening and although there were only a few customers in the place we were ignored on 3 occasions by staff at the bar. The most annoying was 2 of the staff stopped and shared a funny moment. I do however know that had the manager been present this behaviour would not have been acceptable as service here would normally be spot on.
Food excellent, drinks excellent selection, prices........ a bit expensive.

Early evening is the best time to go as later on the music (for me) becomes too loud.
I would recommend The Garrison Public House as a place to wine and dine but for us poor people use the place as a treat yourself once in a while experience.

Whitesnakes do it better .............. when you eat drink and be merry!
