Simply Delish - Lets Get Started

One of the things that KB and I love is cooking.
WE enjoy cooking shows, shopping for goods and working together to prepare meals.

As /Marco Pierre White would say, "Keep it simple! Mother nature is the true artist."

Having watched so many cooking shows we have come to the conclusion most of the chefs do not live in the real world where real people live.
An example would be the spice rack or pantry items.
Saffron would be a classic example with its primary use being coloring rice. Turmeric could be used as a substitute. The price range between the two is unbelievable.
How many times do we watch a program ( Ready Steady Cook is a good one) where the chefs produce a feast fit for a king.
Look at their pantry. They have everything they need to enhance the meal while us poor folk can only sit back and sigh,
So the object of this section is to supply recipes that keep things simple. Recipes that can be made with minimal expense and of course with items that the average household would have in their pantry.
The best part is that we ask YOU to contribute as well.
Whether it be recipes or tips for the kitchen.
KB and I will be putting up our favorite recipes and sharing our way of doing things.
We hope this will bring us closer to nature, assist to help others and of course bring all of us new ways to cook drink and be merry.

One of the things that excites us about this page is that so many of us have old recipes that mum or grandma handed down yet the best bit is that back in the old days they didn't have all the fancy stuff we have today.
To be able to relive those recipes and try them out is a mouth watering thought.
Hints, tips and ideas are always welcome.
The use of organic fruit, vegetables and meat is also something we will be looking into.
We're planning to post a recipe each Saturday  New Zealand  time.

If you'd like to join in the fun, post a recipe to your blog, leave a comment here and we'll swing by to steal your cooking secrets.
.
So let the feasting begin.

Cheers
KB and Whitesnake

This is a great idea! I mean, who keeps saffron just lying around?
