Wild Rice, Bacon, Beef and Veggies
2 cups wild rice
1 lb. bacon
4 cups chopped celery
1 green pepper (optional) I don't use
2 medium onions, chopped
2 lbs. ground beef
2 can chicken rice soup (optional) i use if I have it on hand
salt and pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
2-3 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cans drained mushrooms
Boil rice for about 50 minutes until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water. while rice is boiling, fry bacon until crisp. save grease to saute onions, celery and peppers. When well sauted, add ground beef and cook until well done. Put all ingredients in roaster and cook at 325 degrees for about an hour. Add soy sauce, or just serve on the side for those who like.
