Coco's View ...changing rooms

Owners have no idea the stresses and strains of changing rooms.
Gone are the days of me laying in bed with that window view now I am stuck in a corner out of the way.

Let's look at the pros and cons:-

Old Room

Window View
Get to look out the window...........
Get to see that  rectangle thing that mum and dad always watch.
Close to mum and dad
Long walk to my dinner bowls
Hot in summer draughty in winter
Quick escape when the door opens
Lights on at night when I am trying to sleep
I can hear mum and dad laughing and joking when I am trying to sleep.
Too far from kitchen when dad is cooking.

Stuck in the Corner
View of dining room table legs.
Close to mum or dad when they are on the PC.
New Room

Wide angled view of mum and dad when they are sitting on the sofa.
Excellent view of mum and dad cooking in the kitchen.
Close to my food bowls.
Warm and cosy.
Get extra heat from kitchen on these cold nights.
Back door access to my bed.
Ensuite.... just pop out the back.
No draughts
No extreme heat coming through the window.
Cuddled everytime anyone enters the kitchen.
Noticed more when visitors come around. "Where's Coco?"
Full access to all the house

See my dears the stress and strain mum and dad put me through.
I am so disraught!

Hang on a minute!!!!!!!

Extra cuddles, noticed more, warm and cosy, extra treats from the kitchen and the ensuite who am I kidding.

I LOVE IT!

Oh after all that I feel a wee bit tired might just go for a nap in my new room..

Bye bye dears
Take care

Coco  xx

Coco's Animal Antics

For the past several weeks, I've been blaming the neighbourhood cats for digging up our veggies. Imagine my surprise to return home one day to find Coco in the act. She'd been burying her dog chews in our veggie patch and digging them up later.

Coco's Animal Antics

Coco is not amused. Every time I play this video, she runs around the house barking. I'm not surprised really , this dog could do with some vocal training.

Coco's Weekly Round Up

The trouble with humans is they do not have an inkling of how their actions effect a dogs life!

My mum has been spending a few minutes a day cutting away at my coat.
OK, it is a bit matty, OK a lot matty and smelly, a bit smelly OK a lot smelly.
"OH" I can hear dad calling out those famous words. "Dog of eternal stench where forth art thou!"
My point here is that winter is coming ........... and they decide I need a hair cut? Derrr!
Anorexic? No, just had a haircut!
An upside is I get more cuddles so there is a balance.
Still, I spend more time in bed which is so nice and warm since mum brought out my blanket.

Mum and Dad have been doing little posts these past couple of weeks so they has a post each day. I really don't know how they manage it as they work a lot and dads hours have been changing due to some ...err what were dads words.... "Useless toss bag." I can not and will not repeat the other words that were associated with it. Let us just say they were colourful and not for the faint hearted,

Apparently the man that works night shift gets in late or doesn't even turn up. He doesn't even call to let anyone know. NOW you see what I mean about humans. That sort of behaviour is very upsetting for me.
That mans behaviour effects me. Dad might not give me cuddles because he has to cover the shift. My walks could be cancelled because dad works so late.

Deep breathe girl!

Now back to the week that was.
Sunday Story Time is on the move the link is the latest installment and I do like dads Wednesday Wisdom and his Tuesday Twosomes not so sure about Frdays Fry Up but his Thursday Picture is unique.
There is of course Layback Saturday or something but stay away from Mondays Manic Moments, dad can sometimes get very angry about certian things.
My wonderful mum has also been very busy with Simply Delish (a chinese recipe is in the pipeline people) and her creativity is at its brillant best with One Shot  Oh and for those readers out there she has another Book Review throw in mums anger at the neighbours of course there is the walkabout that never was thanks to that useless toss bag.

My bed, My blanket, My happy place

Keeping up with KB is always good to follow. For those of you that like photos of the sunsets, mums Skywatch is beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful things mum got her test results back from the doctor and she is motoring along with all her hard work paying off.

Well my darlings that is all from me. I think I have updated everything.
Don't worry me lovelies I am quite well look after. Just have to keep mum and dad on their toes.
OH dear I can feel a bad case of gas coming on.
"MUM! DAD! Where are you?"

Have a great weekend

Coco's Confusion

No words needed
Well darlings it has been a while since my last post so I thought I had better update you on the goings on in this house. Especially since Mum and Dad have been very slack in not at least keeping all my adoring fans informed about the last few hectic and some what emotional weeks.

We have had visitors from Australia who were unfortunately caught up in the Christchurch 6.3 earthquake. I was very concerned about the whole thing because Dad got very upset and worried about his brother and Mum ..... well Mum worries about everyone of course her main concern was for Dad and his brother and his wife.
Anyways dears, they arrived back a day earlier than expected but were shaken up but considering everything they handled themselves well and should be proud of themselves. I listened intently as they spoke about everything that had transpired until Mum and Dad got home. There were tears and hugs. Let me tell you it was a truly heartfelt reunion.

Me, Listening intently
Dad had been working some strange hours. I overheard Mum talking about how he had to hold down the fort at work for a week. Probably why he hadn't posted for so long. Holding down a fort must have been very hard even if it was a small one.

The weather here has not been the best. One day very hot the next it is pouring with rain.
At least Mum had a few things done. She did a beef stir fry (yummy! dad gave me some.) and tried out a chicken, pumpkin bok choy noodle salad but left out the chili. Dad messed with the stir fry and had too much chili so I guess he learnt a lesson. Don't mess with my Mum's cooking!
Mum is a very good cook let me tell you. Her cooking beats doggies biscuits anytime.

Mum is slowly giving me a hair cut. Slowly is because I won't sit still long enough. The clippers scare me although I am getting better because mum is very careful when she does clip me.Why do animal owners decide that you need a haircut when the weather is getting colder? Speaking of being scared, you may by now realise that we all suffer anxiety or panic attacks but what was really weird was mum and dad did a post and it had similar themes. Mum did hers for walkabout and dad did his to get out is frustration at supermarket madness.

They have always been in sync like that. I remember mum saying how she had no chewy chewies for me and when she picked dad up he had brought some.

You remember when Mum had an accident last year or year before well the same thing NEARLY happened again. She is OK but I don't think she will be driving that way home again.

Night night darlings xx
Dad has his carry on Tuesday up and his story is also coming along nicely, part 7 is a good one.
Dad also has a shot at some unorthodox terrorists. I did have a giggle. Obviously some people don't have a sense of humour.

Well dears that is enough from me. I need a sleep.
I will be trying to post more regularly now that things are slowly getting back to normal.

Take care my lovelies

Coco's Animal Antics

Hi darlings,

Remember when I told you Dad's relatives from Australia came to stay with us? They've gone back home now but I forgot to tell you what hapened the day they arrived. Mum and Dad kept checking the driveway, I presumed they were looking for cats and tried to help out.  I was so embarrased when the relatives arrived in their car from the opposite direction to a view of my bottom. What a welcome that must have been.

We had such a wonderful time. I got lots of walks and cuddles and we had lots of family and friends come to visit too. I'm so tired...I think I'll sleep for a week.

What mischief are you all getting into at your place? I'd love to see some pics.

Coco's visitors and other doggy treats

Well darlings it has been quite a week.
I have virtually been run off my paws, what with excerising mad mum and dad, next doors cats and of course getting ready for visitors.
NOW that last one was the bestest truly darlings!
Isaac, Kirsten and Mum

Some relation to Dad. I should have listened carefully when he was telling me all about it. I did remember something about being good. (AS IF I WOULD BE BAD!) Woof!

I think it was his brother and sister who is something to do with the legal system because mum said she was in law.
Anyways petals I recieved lots of hugs, cuddles and pats.
My heart nearly melted when my guy Greg popped by.
Well you know me dears, I spread myself around like melted butter sharing my experiences with everyone I could.
The down side to it all was the weather.
It was hot. Way too hot and no breezes to cool things down.
Too Hot for man and beast!
Dad did leave the ranch slider open when Greg stayed over. Yes dears! Greg slept in my room. I'll leave the rest up too you. **wink**

Dad and mum are the best cooks in the world. I had lots of different foods to try that dad made.
Everytime he gave me something the place went quiet while they watched me eat. Quite disturbing to be watched eating however with food that good one forgets.
You can find a list of Simply Delish recipes on the link or simply click on the side bar Simply Delish sign.

There really hasn't been much happening blog wise as the vistors did take up some time.
Mum did manage a Weekend Walkabout. and along with Kirsten did a lot of reading so KB's Bookshelf got another hit.
Dad got to do a Carry on Tuesday for mum for Valentines Day you really should check it out. It was so simple yet so meaning full. It brought wee drops of water to my bedroom eyes.
I love Mum and Dad xxxx
Dad continued his story King of Dreams which I actually find quite interesting as I have inside information it is partly a biography. Yes my dears ome of it is actually real. I wonder which bits?
Mum did here Keeping Up thingy as well so I guess that when you think about it we have been really busy.
I do know dad has  been working some different shifts but hopefully the next few weeks will see him settling down and managing to write more.

This week we will be getting ready for our visitors to return and stay for a few days before the go home.
There will be more recipes to try and a BBQ with Grand dad and Grandma coming over for that.
Grand dad by the way is the REAL Harry Down. Those two are so funny.

Well me lovelies it is time for me to get up to some Animal Antics and try to visit a few friends.
Bye bye for now.
Love Coco

Coco Gets Wet

I'm not sure what's going on at home at the moment. Mum and Dad like to keep the house and garden clean and tidy but this week they seem to be going overboard. Mum even gave me a BATH and she knows how much I hate bathing. I had to go and roll around in the garden after she'd finished so I could smell like a dog again. I'll let you know more when I find out what going on. What mischief are you all getting into at your place? I'd love to see some pics.

Coco lets go

It wasn't the noise that embrassed me it was the laughter from mum and dad.
They couldn't stop. They wouldn't stop!
Even now, some 24hrs later I can hear them talking and laughing about hearing a wee noise come from my bottom.

It was nearly as bad as the time the two of them laughed over my itchy bottom and the only way I  could sctratch it was to moonwalk like Micheal Jackson  on my tush across the carpet.
The embarassment is obvious and it makes them laugh even moe.
Whoops I farted again!
I seem to be the butt (pardon the pun) of their humour. At least I can make them laugh.
Well enough is enough I need to escape, not literally, but some escape where I can have friends of my own. Other anmals who are in the same boat as I am. Other animals who can share their antics. We could call it Coco's friends or Animal Antics. What do you think?

Well I can feel a bit of gas building up from that Beef kind of Wellington or was it the Chicken and Veggie Pie. Why do they feed me that stuff? Come to think of it, why do I eat it?
It's better than doggie biscuits that's for sure.
Anyway my darlings  I really do need to go. Gas coming, OH MY goodness maybe even a Missy special!
Bye for now

Coco's Christmas Time

Hello my darling readers xx
Well dears I had an absolutely wonderful Christmas time. We had a brilliant New Years and Dad even did a BBQ which was Simply Delish. Mum says I have to do the LINK thingy if I am to post. Her and dad want people to click on the ads so they can make money to buy nice treats and yummy stuff for me.

Well as I told you in my previous post I was left alone two times and tried to escape on several occasions as I don't like being on my own much. I am sure a lot of my readers would agree that a happy dog is a healthy dog and a healthy dog looks after his or her owners and behaves really well. Oh! Speaking of healthy, ..... Mum is getting back into her healthy something  or other 30 days to a fatter or thinner me...... I think that's what she calls it.

My mum looks good to0 me and OBVIOUSLY dad agrees!
Even dad has been eating healthier and .........You are SOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT ........going to believe this........DAD............ yes MY Dad was taking to mum about doing more exercises everyday and going for walkies and stuff once his shifts at work settles down.
You all know what that means aye!
This cute little dog will be getting out more and doing more walkabouts and not just weekend walkabouts so here's to a healthier me. Good Grief! This health thingy is catching on.

My new friends who kept moving my chewy chewy!
Mum and dad did give me lots of treats and cuddles on Xmas and New Years especially when they had left me alone. It really wasn't so bad because they always give me a treat before they go and lots of cuddles when they get back.

We had a BBQ and mums parents came and my boyfriend Greg and dad had some work mates come over. They were so cute and of course they simply LOVED ME! ...............................
"It's all about me, isn't it darlings!!"

It was really hot that day and I really felt sorry for dad while he was out in the heat cooking the BBQ. Mum as always looked after him. She loves him so much and she is always telling me. Dad always talks to me about how much he loves my mum. They both dribble on a bit about it and it's not like I don't already know.

Isn't he devilishly adorable?
Now that last bit leads me to the love of my life at the moment.............. Greg!
Not only did he stay the night on New Years but also when we had the BBQ. Let me tell you I thought I was in heaven I got lots of kisses and cuddles from him. He even left his bedroom door open.......Yes girls...was that a hint or what?
Dad says he left it open because of the heat. I don't think so daddy dearest!
So over the festive season I really did have way to much to eat. I was actually sick 3 times and darling dad cleaned it up before mum could see it. She would worry about me if she knew.

Veggie Guard Dog watching for birds!
Mum has been busy with our veggie garden and even I must say it is coming along a real treat. Mum should be really proud of herself as she has nurtured and loved those veggies she calls her babies.  Isn't she so cute with the little phrases she comes out with? I of course was given Veggie patrol duty.
Watching for any birds that may choose to try and get a free feed from mums garden veggies. "GROWL GROWL!"

Here are few more pics from my holiday time.

A loving moment captured beautifully!

Will they EVER get a room?

I LOVE the beach!

I also love the water.

Did I mention loving swimming and water?

Don't they make a lovely couple?

Dad being silly!

Well now that was my holiday season. What about yours?

Until next time darlings............ Woof Woof!
Coco La Belle! xx
